Another FANTASTIC VBS
God amazes me. Each year we say that was the best VBS yet – how is it possible to always have such a great experience – because for 13 years we have operated under God’s anointing.God always brings brilliant enthusiastic leaders who work hard to prepare each site. This year we had many new faces helping and everything ran smoothly.
I would love to acknowledge this years shining stars as our leaders are second to none!!SNACK MASTER: Judy Klages headed this team with the support of Leta Hughes and Annice King – Great job ladies. You continued on a fabulous tradition of amazing snacks. CRAFT GURU: Brenda Harris (hours of prep and practice), and her helper Shirley Waugh helped the children create fun crafts – my favourite being the donkey!GAME CREW and DRAMA TEAM: Gregory Jolly, Jacob Wilcox and Felicia Leeson not only lead all the crazy water games but also performed in the days dramas – they carried a lot of the VBS load and did it well!! BIBLE STORY TELLERS: Karen Seguin, Verna Chesney, Wally and Jean Manning each took turns teaching a Parable and valuable lesson connected to our daily word – super variety and so well managed! WORD ON THE STREET: Rosemary Vanderhoeven, Rev. Bonnie Pilkey, Verna Chesney took turns leading this interactive memory verse site which also focused on our daily word.Our crew leaders were outstanding – all 17 of them!
Their reward is a teen retreat in October 28th to 30th. This is a great opportunity for the congregation to show their appreciation toward these teens by sending baked goods and other treats. Last year they munched away on cookies from Jean Stevenson and candy apples from Val Tabor. If you would like to share a treat with them please let me know.
